Tech Diplomacy Forum Speaker 2025

H.E. Albertus Aochamub

Ambassador of Namibia to France, Spain, Portugal, Italy and to UNESCO

His Excellency Albertus AOCHAMUB has a 28-year track record in senior management across the private and public sectors, including academia, telecommunications (fixed and mobile), retail banking, public broadcasting, and diplomacy.
Between 1999 and 2019, he occupied board-level positions, notably in the financial services and non-profit sectors. Regarding transformational leadership, Mr. Aochamub is widely credited with achieving financial sustainability and the digital broadcast migration of the Namibian Broadcasting Corporation as the Director General/CEO from 2010 to 2015. This achievement partly led to his appointment by the Namibian President as Press Secretary and Media Advisor to the Namibian Presidency from 2015 to 2018. He assumed the role of Namibian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the French Republic in December 2018. The Paris Mission has concurrent accreditation to Monaco, Spain, Portugal, and Italy, as well as UNESCO (Paris), OECD (Paris), BIE (Paris), CPLP (Lisbon), and the UNTOURISM Organisation (Madrid).
Ambassador Aochamub further represented Namibia on the Executive Board of UNESCO (2019-2023), the Executive Council of UN TOURISM (current), and serves the Southern African sub-region on the African World Heritage Fund (a UNESCO Category II Centre in South Africa).
