Ayumi Moore Aoki is the Founder and President of the Tech Diplomacy Institute and Founder and CEO of Women in Tech® Global. She works at the intersection of technology and international relations, advancing digital equity and inclusive innovation through strategic partnerships between international organizations, academia, and the private sector.

In 2025, Ayumi launched the Tech Diplomacy Forum at UNESCO headquarters in Paris, creating a platform for dialogue on digital policy, emerging technologies, and international cooperation. She also introduced the Osaka Protocol at the Women in Tech Global Summit, a framework targeting 100 million women and girls by 2030 through STEM education, workforce development, and digital access initiatives.

Women in Tech® Global, headquartered in Paris, operates in 60+ countries with over 250,000 members, working toward empowering 5 million women in STEAM by 2030. The organization partners with UN Women, the World Economic Forum’s Edison Alliance, and institutions worldwide.

Ayumi serves on UNESCO’s International Consultative Group of Experts for Closing the Gender Gap in Science and the World Economic Forum’s Global Future Council on Advanced Manufacturing and Value Chains. She regularly speaks at major international forums including the World Economic Forum, TEDx, LEAP, and the UN ESCAP Summit, and lectures at institutions such as Johns Hopkins University, Sciences Po, and École des Ponts.

Currently pursuing an Executive Doctorate at École des Ponts Business School (Institut Polytechnique de Paris), her research focuses on tech diplomacy and the digital divide. Born in Brazil to a Brazilian mother and Japanese father, with formative years in South Africa during apartheid, Ayumi’s personal experience with inequality drives her commitment to equity in technology.

A mother of four, Ayumi exemplifies the integration of professional excellence and personal commitment, championing the vision that technology should serve humanity’s highest aspirations while ensuring equitable access for all.
